Well done to Ladies 1st XI player Kay Sheldon!

The success continues once again for Leek Hockey Club as junior member and Ladies 1st XI regular Kay Sheldon picked up a Silver Medal at the 2018 School Games last weekend.

Kay, 17, was selected for the U18 England Red team and competed at the 5 day event, held at Loughborough University.

Following 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss in the round-robin group games, England Red finished second to play Ulster, who had won all 4 games and conceded no goals, in the final.

The 2018 School Games National Finals, supported by National Lottery funding from Sport England and delivered by the Youth Sport Trust, is a major multi-sport event for the most talented young athletes across the UK.

Between Thursday 30 August and Sunday 2 September, more than 1,400 young athletes competed across 11 sports.

Well done Kay!
