Leek 5ths 0 v 2 Streetly 3rds

"Leek 5ths first league game was away against Streetly 3rds ending in a 0-2 lose. Leek started slowly allowing Streetly a couple of early shots, scoring their first goal from a short corner that was slipped wide and hit into the bottom left. All of the Leek players battled hard and Morgan Read made some breakthroughs but was unlucky not to score. Streetly's second goal also came in the first half from open play down the right, then played into the top of the D where the original shot was missed but the ball then fell to a Streetly player who found the bottom corner.

In the second half Leek upped their game and battled hard with a bare eleven and no substitutes. Ruarc Grant battled hard winning all the 50-50's and causing allosts of problems for Streetly's biggest player. Hugh made a number of saves in Goal, the pick being a smoother into the right corner and then getting up to make the second save towards the left corner. Lewis Wolliscroft played well at left back making some last man tackles. Man of the match went to Morgan Rhead for his consistent work rate and skill."
