An unfortunate loss this week for Leek ladies 3’s. In the first half of the game the girls came into the match full of positivity and putting pressure on their experienced opposition. By doing this the girls created many chances which unfortunately were not able to be turned into goals. However, in the first few minutes Leek managed to secure a short corner, due to Kate Jones impressive skills on the ball. Leek were not able to use this too their advantage, but continued to press the opposition creating many chances.
After a lucky break down the right wing, Aldridge and Walsall managed to secure their first and only goal concluding the score to 1-0. Leek did not give up fighting and remained positive throughout working as a team even when moral was down.
Special mentions go to Hannah Boulton for saving a penalty flick and to Maddie Stone for her first debut for LHC 3’s and getting MOM from both the home and opposition side.
