Leek Vipers v North Staffs Badgers

Due to half term holidays Leek Vipers only had 11 players. Becci Neale once again stood in as the playing adult with Hannah Finney supporting her and the younger players. There was also opportunity for two Badgers debuts with Finley Prince having an excellent game as right back and new club member Harry Mavin running the midfield with Hannah. North Staffs started the game as the more organised side, scoring two goals early in the first half. Just before half time Hannah scored one back for Leek after a lovely pass from Harry Mavin at the top of the 'D'.

Leek started the stronger side after the break with lots of chances to equalise which unfortunately they couldn't convert. Then against the run of play North Staffs scored a third goal. Leek's second finally came from Ptolemy Edge who slotted it past the keeper. This was quickly followed by a fourth goal from North Staffs. Leek did not give up continuing to press the North Staffs goal and were rewarded with a third and Scarlet Robinson's first goal for Vipers. Despite pushing for the equaliser the final score ended 3-4 to North Staffs. Next week Leek Vipers travel to Cannock.
