Leek travelled to Stafford for a early start in monsoon conditions but took to the pitch with no senior players, the manager opting to utilise the available Warrilow F and Bettany T to deputise. Despite dominating play in all area Leek went behind to a scrappy goal midway through the 1st half. This only spurred on the young Leek side who showed great maturity in build up play which culminated in Lawley M scoring a well worked goal.
Very little was needed in a half time team talk, Leek just wanting to get playing again, Leeks pressure continued into the 2nd half with the Stafford keeper needing to pull off numerous saves before Leanord A rattled home a short corner.
Tense moments followed as Stafford retaliated with their seniors pushing forward but a quick break saw Warrilow L set up Ward-Banner N for a tap in at the far post.
Once again a excellent performance from the Badgers, especially the newcomers Smith S, Lawley O, Casey E and Alcock G who are all looking like seasoned veterans already.
