Cobras scored first with a goal by Josh Woodcock and were unlucky not to have scored more while they were in the driving seat with Josh controlling the midfield. Vipers scored the equaliser and as the teams were getting set to see out the half with the scores tied, Cobras were unlucky to concede just before the whistle. As the second half got under way, Vipers came out with all guns blazing and started to find gaps in the Cobras midfield. Ella & Liv Bray and Sam Heath all went close to scoring several times but just couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. As the game got stretched, Vipers scored a scrappy goal with Cobras not clearing their lines. In the dying seconds of the game Vipers were awarded a penalty stroke, which saw Keira Willott guessing the right way to dive and making a good save. Vipers proved themselves to be the worthy winners and deserved the 1:3 win, with all 27 kids playing well and both keepers making quality saves throughout the game. There were several players from both teams who put their body on the line - Ella Bray’s powerful shot connected with Thomas Finney's leg ; Sam Brooke seemed to be attracted to the ball and ended up getting a ball to the chest & back; and Noah from Vipers ended up getting a ball to the hand.
