Leek's old men progressed to round 2 of the national over 40's cup with a hard fought victory against a tidy Stockport Bramall team on Sunday. Skipper Rich Campbell opened the scoring after only 2 minutes when from the top of the D he hit a thunderous shot
high into the top corner to leave the bewildered goalkeeper routed to the spot.
Leek continued to play some fluent hockey and early in the second half a well worked penalty corner resulted in Paul Nixon scoring Leek's second.
Campbell then completed his brace with another well taken goal from a trade mark reverse stick shot.
