The six teams last outing had seen a resounding victory against local rivals North Staffs having played some fantastic hockey.
This match, however, saw a completely different result, despise the 6ths playing some good passing hockey. Particularly in the first half. Leek should have taken the lead following a superb interchange of passes between Sam Brooks and Chris Melville, but unfortunately the latter was unable to put away a good opportunity.
Leek then succumbed to Wolverhampton's direct long ball hockey as they failed to deal with the ball in and around the D and found themselves 3-0 down at halftime.
The second half saw Leek trying to get back into the game, but despite a valiant effort two further Wolverhampton goals, put the match well out of Leek’s reach.
The match was rather summed up when skipper Jules Brooks missed a penalty late on to at least have given Leek a consolation goal.
